I'm still debating whether or not I wanna watch Step Up 3D today, but the dancing looks pretty solid. And my boy, Atomic Goofball, is in the flick. Hmm, we shall see.
Alien Ness is a b-boy born in the South Bronx in the 60's and he started dancing in the year 1982. He is what you would call a 3rd generation b-boy (the exploitation era. A la Flashdance, Beat Street, Breakin, Breakin 2, Wild Style, Style Wars, The Last Dragon, etc. This is an incredibly raw interview with great insight coming from a person who came after the pioneers but still a pivotal point of a new development within b-boying entitled "power or air moves". Take a look at the interview. One of my fav lines out of the whole thing is at the end...truly deep and definitely insightful.
Here is one of my favorite b-boys (K-mel from Boogie Brats crew)speaking some real shit that I think people need to hear. This b-boy *break dance* thing is more than a hobby or just something I like to do. I breathe, eat, and shit this like it's my last breath, word up! Listen to what he has to say. He definitely drops some bombs.
